2020 is almost over Woohoo!

Well, I don't know about you, but 2020 has been a year of challenges, anxiety and stress, but it has also been time for rest, learning and exploring. It felt like a really long year, yet I can't believe in a couple of days only it will be 2021! 

I try to choose a one word that will be my focus on for the whole year, and honestly, I start off well, and sadly, I then forget all about it after January. How about you? Do you choose a word or resolution each year? I think this year, I will go with organization. Whether it's organization of emails, my work space, my home, my mind, etc. My craft space is always in need of organizing! Thank goodness for our Workspace Wonder organizers! I didn't like how I had it set up, so I redid to over the Christmas Break, I'm I much prefer the way it is now. Now, all I have to do is order myself some more! I definitely had to get organized after I made my Christmas cards to hand out. Here is a picture of a few I put together for my mom & sister to make. I used retired paper as I am working on 'using up my stash'. (It will take me a long time to use up all the retired paper I have 😂

With there only being a couple of days left of 2020, the time has come for our current catalog to retire at the end of December. If there is anything you were interested in, you are going to want to grab it now!

I started creating Christmas cards using this brightly coloured paperpack. It's never too early to start on Christmas! I have not put any sentiments on yet as I was doing a bulk set of cards for the moment and will choose what I want to go on the front depending on who I will be sending it to. 

I love how bright this pack is and how it reminds me of Christmas when I was a child. I used the coordinating cardstock as a matte on the card base, and used the patterned paper as the focal point. On the Poinsettia paper, I used the Icicle Stickles in the centers to add a little dimension and sparkle. On the gnomes, I coloured it in using the Red Shimmer Brush giving it a bright and glittery look. These gnomes are adorable! This set came from a previous mini catalog, but can still be purchased online. Our new catalog features 2 more gnome stamp sets that you could use in place of the one I used.

Today I am featuring layouts using the Timber Workshop Your Way Kit. The kit does come with instructions and cutting guide, which I did use, however, I took the layout guides that were given and then put my own spin on it. I wanted to show how you can take what is in the kit and change some (or all) of it and still get beautiful results. By changing 1 or 2 things, you could change the entire look or mirror it.

For my 1st project, I made a quick and easy card using the Summer Vibes paper pack and coordinating Lemonade card stock. The word HOME is stamped in black and I added some embellishments as well as some doodling. 

My 2nd project is a single page layout using the same Summer Vibes paper pack and Lemonade cardstock, but I added another coordinating colour-Tangerine. These are such fun summer colours! I used some acrylic Summer Vibes shapes as well as a couple of the leftover stickers from the Summer Vibes Kit. This layout was put together using leftover paper and embellishments from the kit. 

I wanted to show how versatile our paper packs are. You can create a different look by just flipping over the paper you are working with. Our patterned paper comes with a different pattern on each side, and our solid coloured cardstock is two toned-meaning the front is darker and the back is lighter. Both projects were used with leftover items from the Summer Vibes kit as well as using both sides of the paper.
